Who is responsible

Settings stored in your browser

The site remembers three display preferences in your browser's local storage: night or daylight mode, phosphor colour, and whether number-key shortcuts are on. They never leave your device and are not sent to us. They are only there to keep the interface the way you set it, so no consent banner is needed. Clearing your browser's site data removes them.

Hosting logs

Like any web host, Vercel receives technical data when you load a page (such as your IP address, browser and the page requested) in order to deliver and secure the site. Vercel acts as our processor and may process this data in the United States under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses. We don't use Vercel analytics. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in running a secure website.

Fonts and links

Fonts are served from this site, so loading a page doesn't contact Google or any other third party. Links to other sites (X, LinkedIn, the FT, Decrypt, Pocket Casts and others) only take you there when you click them, and those sites have their own privacy policies.

Contacting us

The contact form doesn't send anything to a server: SEND opens your own email program with your message filled in. If you then email us, we use your name, address and message to reply and to discuss working together (legitimate interest and pre-contract steps). We keep that correspondence for up to three years after our last contact, or longer if a contract follows and the law requires it.

Your rights

You can ask for access to, correction or deletion of your personal data, object to or restrict its use, or ask for a copy of it, by emailing colin@numerate.tech. You can also complain to the CNIL (cnil.fr).
